Realizados case study: monthly invoicing from 8 hours to 15 minutes

Updated October 31, 2026 ยท NouCodi

In short: Realizados, a personal finance education company, cut its monthly invoicing from 8 hours to 15 minutes. Website orders (WordPress) and payments (Stripe) flow automatically into a spreadsheet, a macro creates the invoices and they are saved to Google Drive; a person only reviews and handles special requests.

The starting point

At the start of each month, all of the previous month's revenue had to be invoiced: finding each sale on the website, matching it with its payment, creating the invoice by hand and filing it. That was about 8 hours a month of repetitive, error-prone work.

What was done

  1. An automation pulls WordPress orders and Stripe payments into a Google Sheets spreadsheet that serves both invoicing and bookkeeping.
  2. A macro template creates all of the month's invoices from that sheet.
  3. The invoices are saved to their Google Drive folder.
  4. A person reviews the result and handles special cases, such as a student asking for an invoice with different details.

The same kind of improvement fits any business that invoices every month, from an accounting firm to a construction company.

Frequently asked questions

Which tools were used?

WordPress (the website and its orders), Stripe (payments), Google Sheets with a macro template to create the invoices, and Google Drive to store them.

Can the same be done with other invoicing software?

Yes, if the software can import data or connects to other apps. What matters is that sales and payments flow automatically to wherever invoices are created.
